I’m not so sure about the glass half empty / glass half full discussion, but I do know that the glass has to be emptied before it can be refilled…
Another, more important question isn’t if the glass is full, empty or half full/empty, but what it contains…

My spontaneous thought is:
Those who think they can open their mouth – or even stick their head out the door – without communicating something, are fooling no one but themselves… And the likelihood of these people communicating anything of interest is probably purely coincidental.
You don’t have to follow the rules or break them if you’re the one making them up….
